I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
These songs and the sisters are able to tap into the history and roots of American music to create something new and original while maintaining the reach and feeling of country music even if the form and sounds are not totally traditional country music and are unique to this project as well as their work in the DC's. Their ability to reach an audience directly to the heart, mind, and soul are what drew me to their music in the first place and this project just allows another facet of their talents to emerge in the same manner. I remember the first time I heard Wide Open Spaces and the power, warmth, and beauty that song possessed, hearing these tracks for the first time tonight reminds me of that feeling and builds upon that foundation with the organs, electric guitars and lyrics all adding to the sound and power of their musical heritage and pedigree. I am really excited for us as music fans to enjoy this music and for them to get to perform it for us, as they evolve in their writing and playing we as their fans continue to grow as well - such is the reward for both the performer and the audience with music of this caliber and honesty.
