Missed you in Saratoga in 2010.
Sadly, I'll probably miss you again.
So I went to a quiet spot overlooking California waves,
and asked him to allow you to grace his stage.

He's listening to you as I write this now,
and if I'm lucky, he'll say "Book that show".
He usually only does soft jazz and swing,
but said he'd host real banjo if mixed with real strings.

I said "And their vocals will seduce and delight,
They're buskers who enchant well into the night.
I said "These talented girls were on top of the world,
and will knock yer socks off if you'll give em a whirl."

And he loves what you stood for
in those old "rough-shod days".
It was a big plus to him, on these Cali waves.

So my fingers are crossed;
May you sing, dance and laugh more,
and perhaps if fates and angels join in,
you'll play your wonderful music
along this Cali shore.
