The Road Goes on Forever/ Bullets in the Gun...WTFTK!?
Hi CYH!
After last nights (well for me in the UK this very ealr morning) Livestream I checked out the song Emily mntioned and had a listen. Toby Keith's 'latest single' is a blatant rip of Robert Earl Keen's The Road Goes on Forever! Did TK just happen to have the song playing in the background as he 'wrote' Bullets in the Gun??
The man is a dick obviously but then we knew this any way...
There is some truth in that there is nthing original any more, everything is a mash up of something else, recyled and what ever but this song of TK's is just a rip off?! Did he just think people wouldn't notice?!
You are not the only to think it Emily, if you guys Google Toby Keith new single Bullets in the Gun + The Road Goes on Forever, you'll see that a lot of people have also made this connection.
What an arse...

I just had to comment on this post. I just heard Toby Keith's Bullets in the Gun and was shocked at how closely it resembled The Road Goes On Forever and I said WTFTK?
I then went to Google and queried the two titles together and this post came up towards the top.
I am pretty slow to follow commercial country but I would like to know if Toby Keith thought no one would know who Robert Earl Keen is? I agree that nothing is original anymore but couldn't TK mix up the theme a little bit ?
