hi!
good to see you

When Genisis lost Peter Gabriel, their next album was titled
"And then there were three"

Rush
ZZ Top
The Police
Emerson Lake & Palmer

THE DIXIE CHICKS

Notice a pattern here?

I tried to resist the temptation to "bring it up again" but since you have my cell # and you haven't called, this is my only medium for contact.

The first time I was exposed to you, I was working 3rd shift at Sears doing a remodel project. While working on the light fixtures in the electronics dept. there was an endless loop of music videos playing on the televisions. You in all your glory were singing "Wide open spaces" at least once an hour. When I got out of work at 6AM, I drove to the music store and waited till they opened to buy our first Chicks CD. It was "Love at first listen"
Some time after that I was working at a school on a service and technologies' upgrade and had to work "around" the head cook in "her" kitchen. During that job, you played at The Bradley Center where the head "eache", her husband, my wife and I met by chance, after that night we were like peas and carrots.
Enough of my rambleing, I'm sure you get my point by now. If not you have my number.
Paul

I'm already madly in love with what you guys are putting out there.. You speak from the heart and us (woman) can feel and relate to it. I'm excited about your future and you have a fan in me no matter what you guys decide to produce....Well, maybe not polka, I draw the line at that!!!haha

Is Natalie ever coming back and will you three record again as the Dixie Chicks? You are my favorite group. I really miss you guys. I call radio stations requesting them to play your music. The fanatical Bushies don't scare me none and I really pray that you three won't let Bush and his cronies destroy the best vocal group in music...
Please.. bring NATALIE BACK...it completes your sound...
Gary

Thanks for coming back.......love the music, can't wait to get the CD and see you live!!! Very exciting news....you guys rock!!

I am so glad to hear this project. The first 4 songs are fantastic. I am still wondering where I buy tickets for the march 18th show in Austin. I'll be on vacation that week and would love to drive over and see them.

Ladies you are fantastic.

I have been patiently waiting for the chicks to come back. You girls sounds great....Wish you all the best
But I agree...The Rolling Stones without Mick.

"Free Natalie"

Bring back the Chicks!!!!!!

This is Cheryl from High Hills Bluegrass Band. We opened for you guys in El Cajon years ago. Loved your music in the Dixie Chicks, NOW I LOVE your new music as Court Yard Hounds! You guys rock! So far your 4 cuts are awesome! Thank you for making music again, missed you, Cheryl

You girls rock!!! I have been a fan since you all palyed @ the Hang Em' High saloon in Austin, Tx. I got up on stage with you all, remeber? I handed, I believe it was Martie, a $20 dollar bill!! I just ordered the cd and I'm very excited for you both!! Hopefully I will get to see you both @ Antones here in Austin!!! God Bless you both!!!! Dawn P.

The sisters have beautiful voices and I wish them much success with the CYH. I was a big Chicks fan and saw them in Nashville on the "Free Natalie" tour. It was a great show and they were never better.

I am one of the "narrow minded" people who think Natalie was wrong with her now famous comments. I don't think she was brave at all to make an anti American comment in England, in front of a Chicks audience. If she made the same crack in Texas, in front of a Toby Keith audience, that would have been brave. However, I agree 100% that she has the right to her opinion and to express it.

Where I am disappointed is how she was after the event. Natalie acted immature and petulant. Just look at the next single, "Not Ready To Make Nice" and her FUTK shirts. Rather than try to repair the situation, she went out of her way to make it worse. That's fine if she were a solo act, but she brought down the Dixie Chicks with her.

I am truly sorry that Nat is not a part of this album, but am very happy for the Court Yard Hounds!!!! This music is wonderful and totally unexpected. I honestly thought you Ladies would come back doing bluegrass or all in country, but I am totally and wonderfully surprised in your choice of expression!!!! You GO girls, and I proudly support you both and your tunes are awesome....Best of luck and as always if you're in Mennesota or Iowa I will be ther PROUDLY SCREAMING!!!! I've seen the CHICKS several times live and you've ALWAYS put on a HELL OF A SHOW, and I've had a blast every time!! Can't wait to see you Hounds, and wish yall the best, and hopefully Nat will come around and realize that we love her and miss her! AND SHE HAS MY SUPPORT ALL THE WAY.... AS DO YOU ALL!!!! SHE DID'NT DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been waiting patiently for you two to come back! I would of pre-ordered without hearing anything because you have such an amazing gift to share and I am thankful you have worked so hard to, once again, show 'em what you got! I love and appreciate your talent. Rock it girls!

I am a huge fan of Emily and Martie's talent so I support anything they do but I LOVE the Chicks! Their spunk and strength or important to young women!
Please don't let this be the end of the Chicks. Don't let narrow minded people win! Nat did nothing wrong!!
From a creative aspect I respect the need to create a different sound but the Dixie Chicks are special. Don't let them disappear due to stupid county radio and narrow minded people!
Good luck with the new project but don't end the Chicks!!

I'm thrilled as can be for Emily and Martie! This sounds great so far and I'm hoping to catch them in our home state of Texas very soon. Even if I have to go down to Austin for SXSW. I hope the label is going to work the living hell out of this to Triple A radio!!!!! Woo hoo!!!

I can't say that I am happy with this move and I don't know what has happened between you 2 and nat but I hope that this won't last and the trio will be back. My way of thinking would nat have done this if the tables would turn. Nat if you read this keep going it is your voice that made me a fan and your way of tell the story. To the hounds good luck

I've been reading some of the comments about the DCX without Natalie, all I can say is to remind people this is a separate group.
I love the music of the Chicks too, but this is interesting.
Good luck girls, and I'll be buying a ticket when you come to Austin.

I am SSOOOO PUMPED for this album!!!!!!!!!!! We need you girls.... You are all an anspiration to me and have been for many years...Dont forget us in Rochester Mn..............

I am happy for you Emily and Martie, I really am. If it's truely in your blood, nothing can stop you now. By the same token, I am hearbroken and disappointed as I feel you gave in & let them win. I heard you say in an interview that the two of you just wanted to do a "family thing". In the past, you always made it seem as though Natalie was your family too. So sad. I will miss the three of you dearly. The music you made together made me feel alive, happy, and proud to be a country music listener/supporter. I quit listening to all the country stations in my area since they pulled your music. I still will not turn them on because of what happened to the Dixie Chicks. That is no lie. I don't normally blog, but I feel very strong about what happened and how it has affected the very best country music group I have ever known and loved. I wish you well and I will continue to pray for peace and harmony.

Please don't forget about the Pacific NW. We love you up here. There are two great venues in Portland that would be perfect for the CYH: the Theater of the Clouds at the Rose Garden or the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.

I am just so glad you decided to make some music together. It has been a long wait and I'm looking forward to the chance at seeing you both in concert again. (And I'll never forget my 50th birthday with you backstage in LA!)

I'm looking forward to your show in SF. There are so many great venues here to play in. I talked to Tim at the Fillmore and they would love to have you play there. Hint, hint.........

I like your new song "The Coast" but not the others. Try to goback with Natalie. Much better group

I love the Chicks! Hope this isn't the end of them. Good luck with your new venture, but it's just not the same without Natalie.

I hope that Natalie joins the group again soon.I love the Dixie Chicks.
Hurry back Natalie!

I am so excited that the music will go on!!!!!!!!!!!! It's such a shame for it to remain bottled up... I always thought that your talent was phenomenal but Wowwww! It sounds great!!!! Can't wait to see y'all in action again!!!! Please come to North Carolina!!!

I am soooo excited to hear more of the music! If you all tour PLEASE come to Maryland! Congrats on the new adventure!!!!!

I am a fellow musician and long time fan of the Dixie Chicks. Very happy to see Emily and Martie back doing music, but waiting hopefully for the three of you to do your thing again.

I am so excited to hear the new music and hope to see you on tour...and while the music of Martie and Emily is well worth the wait... I am also waiting with great expectation of a new album with Natalie too...

But in the mean time.. "Ain't No Son" is absolutely fantastice!!!

I have been a truly inspired fan for years! This project is SO exciting. Thank you for everything, can't wait to hear you two play your instruments and sing harmonies together again!

Video feed not working as of 1045am eastern, Feb 12th. Looking forward to seeing it and them. Please come to Tampa, FL. I was not much of a country music fan until your last cd. Now I own four of yours and love them. Shut up and sing was ver y well done and very admirable at one of our countries worst times. Thanks again.

Two amazing musicians, playing beautiful music. I am so excited! I've been waiting for new music for ages, and finally...Love it. Thank you ladies!!!

I'm so glad that Martie & Emily have finally come of Hiatus and are giving us something new to listen to. I love these girls I still think they are two of the best singer songwriters of our era and I loved everything the Dixie Chicks produced and I know this venture will be no different for me and I will love it as well.

Sooo? Is this the END of DCX or just an additional track ASWELL as the DCX??

awesome awesome awesome. good to see you two continuing on in fine fashion. cant wait for your tour to hit new zealand. pity nat is not with you but we all have our own paths to travel and i wish you all the best for the future. miss you guys heaps. pete.

Love it. No knock against Nat...loved her too...but I'm glad the music goes on.....

i love the dixie chicks im sure this will be just as good if not better!!!

I LIKE IT!.....SMOOTH, SPRY, CLEAN & UP BEAT IN A SOFTER WAY....A MELLOWER SOUND THAT WORKS.......& I KNOW THESE GIRLS CAN GET DOWN!.....I PLAYED A "VICTORIAN" IN THE "NOT READY TO MAKE NICE" VIDEO.(..& LOVED IT!.).......DO IT!........BEST, JACK ENGLISH ,..... ACTOR/SINGER........WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIF..........JE

Sorry, that is no Natalie Maines voice - she was the voice within the group - what I hear sounds like "The Wreckers" and they didn't last long. Very sad. So long from this fan of the real Chix.

i LOOVE you guys. have been one of your biggest fans. Own every CD you've done. Been to your concerts before and immediately after the 'incident' when there were protesters outside. Cried when i watched Shut Up and Sing. Have a ' Free Natalie" bumper sticker. Have signed petitions on your behalf. Arguing for you before everyone else realized he was an idiot too and Natalie was right all along...
Love you girls. But...I miss Natalie and what you are as the Chicks. Please don't give up and come back soon. xoxo Smile

I'm excited to hear your new music, and I wish you both well.
But.... I LOVED the Dixie Chics, and that of coarse included Natalie; her spunk, awesome voice, and personality. It won't be the same with out her.
Please come back as a three-some again. PLEASE

The Music sounds intriging and I am curious; will buy and listen to; But, the Chicks need to come on back....Miss the great music they produce. Last Album is my all time favorite from any genre. Good Luck Marty and Emily. Natalie, miss your courage and your ability to speak your mind and most of all...That voice!

Aerosmith without Steven Tyler,The Rolling Stones without Mick Jagger. You get the point??? I'll pass. Gary

Thanks for the vid info and where else to find it because I can't view it either.... Sad

This video is also on Youtube...so if u cant watch it here, it is either not available in your country (it usually says it) or just go to the Court Yard Hounds channel on youtube =)

The video doesn't allow me to watch it. The play button doesn't hilight when I scroll over it to click on it! Help!

This is so great!!! I've always respected Emily and Martie's incredible ability to play. Can't wait for the album!!

So glad to see hear new music. Looking forward to the new cd and seeing you live again. It has been too long!

Becky

Two outta three ain't bad! Don't get me wrong, I am a huge, huge fan of the Chicks and what Natalie brings to the group, but Emily and Martie shine just as bright on their own! I'm so looking forward to getting this album in my hands. And hopefully it works to inspire Natalie back into the scene soon!!!

I'm going to hold out for the next Dixie Chicks album as that is much more my style, but I definitely wanted to stop by and wish Martie and Emily the best of luck!!

LOVE it!! More-More!!

Can't wait!
